Ready to get started?
All you have to do is ask your provider to send us your prescription. We will then complete the prior authorization process and assist with any additional needs.

1. Ask your doctor to send your prescriptions to Knox Community Hospital Specialty Pharmacy.
2. One of our care coordinators will contact you to confirm receipt of your prescription and discuss the next steps of the process. 
3. They will then contact your insurance provider. Once approval is obtained, they will contact you to set up a delivery.

When can I expect my medication to be delivered?

Medication are normally delivered the day before they are needed. The Knox Specialty Pharmacy Representative will 
provide you with specific information regarding the day and time-frame in which you will receive your delivery.

What if I have a change in insurance during the course of my therapy?

It is the patient’s responsibility to notify providers of any changes in their policy and coverage. Failure to do so may result in non-payment by the insurance company. Please notify Knox Specialty Pharmacy ASAP if there will be a change in your coverage. Please call 740.326.3485 Option 5 for an insurance verification coordinator.

Do I have any financial responsibility for Knox Specialty Pharmacy services?

Financial responsibility is based on the type of insurance coverage you have. Prior to the start of therapy, a Knox Specialty Pharmacy Insurance Verification Coordinator will discuss any potential financial responsibility and payment options with you. If you have any questions regarding financial responsibility, please contact your team Insurance Verification Coordinator.

Can I return my medication and/or supplies?

The return of any medications or supplies for credit or reuse on another patient is prohibited by the state pharmacy board, best practices, safety, and infection control standards.
