For centuries, midwives have provided women with personalized birthing care in a safe and familial setting.

Here at KCH, our certified nurse midwife spends time educating, advising, and supporting each mother-to-be so that she and her family are ready for the arrival of the new baby.

Women who to choose to receive care from our nurse midwife deliver their babies in the Ann Schnormeier Center for Birthing Care in the new Wright Family Medical Pavilion—a beautiful facility designed specifically for families and outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment.

Nurse Midwife and a Lifetime of Care

The long-term relationship established between the nurse midwife and her patient includes several other beneficial services as well, such as

  • gynecological exams
  • family planning services
  • pregnancy, labor and delivery, and postpartum care
