Physical Therapist (PT) and Licensed Assistant (PTA)

physical therapy
A physical therapist (PT) or licensed assistant (PTA) offers support by assessing your condition, recommending interventions, and setting goals to aid in your recovery.

Additionally, they provide exercise education and activity training to improve your strength, transfers, walking, balance, and endurance.

Additional support is provided by:

  • teaching proper use of walkers and assistive devices
  • examining your home environment, and providing fall risk reduction and prevention instruction
  • helping to improve mobility and increase your level of independence in your home and community
