Detecting Breast Cancer Early

The American Cancer Society estimates that 297,790 women and 2,800 men in Ohio, will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year.

CDC Breast Cancer Screening Recommendations

The United States Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) recommends that women 50 to 74 years of age and at average risk for breast cancer get a mammogram every two years.
Women age 40 to 49 should talk to their doctor or other healthcare providers about when to start and how often to get a mammogram.
