Patient Preparation Instructions

Blood Thinners

If you are on blood thinners (Coumadin, Plavix, Adult aspirin, etc.), please arrive 45 minutes before your scheduled procedure to complete lab work. Patients should discontinue blood thinners 5 - 7 days prior to the biopsy/procedure if possible. The physician may prescribe a substitute such as Lovenox to be taken up to the day before the procedure.
